1.搭設操作棚，并保證操作人員能看清指揮人員和拖動或吊起的物件。施工過程中的建筑物、腳手架以及現場堆放材料、構件等，都不應影響司機對操作范圍內全過程的監視。處于危險作業區域內操作棚，頂部應符合防護棚的要求。

2.地基堅固。卷揚機應盡量遠離危險作業區域，選擇地勢較高、土質堅固的地方，埋設地錨用鋼絲繩與卷揚機座鎖牢，前方應打樁，防治卷揚機移動和傾覆。

3.卷筒方向。卷筒與導向滑輪中心對正，從卷筒到第一個導向滑輪的距離，按規定是：帶槽卷筒應大于卷筒寬度的15倍，無槽卷筒應大于20倍，以防止卷筒運轉時鋼絲繩相互錯疊和導向輪翼緣與鋼絲繩磨損。

1.卷揚機司機應經專業培訓持證上崗，作業時要精神集中，發現視線內有障礙物時，要及時清除，信號不清時不得操作。

2.作業前應先空轉，確認電氣、制動以及環境情況良好才能操作，操作人員應詳細了解當班作業的主要內容和工作量。

3.當被吊物沒有完全落在地面時，司機不得離崗。休息或暫停作業時，必須將物件或吊籠降至地面。下班后，應切斷電源，關好電閘箱。

4.司機應隨時注意操作條件及鋼絲繩的磨損情況。當荷載變化第一次提升時，應先離地0.5m稍停，檢查無問題時再繼續上升。

5.使用單筒卷揚機，必須用剎車控制下降速度，不能過快和猛急剎車，要緩緩落下。

6.禁止使用扳把型開關，防止發生碰撞誤操作。

7.鋼絲繩要定期涂抹黃油并要放在專用的槽道里，以防碾壓傾軋，破壞鋼絲繩的強度。

8.卷揚機的額定拉力大于125KN時應設置排繩器，應在卷筒上的鋼絲繩最少應保留3~5圈，鋼絲繩的末端應固定可靠。

9.卷筒外邊至最外層鋼絲繩的距離應不小于鋼絲繩直徑的1.5倍

10.作業中，任何人不得跨越正在作業的卷揚鋼絲繩。
